How much extra hp can the stock tranny take on the stealths? also I was to lazy to make a poll should I run water injection on my es. If i get the right air to fuel ratio it will gain more hp if not it will cancel each other out or the worst can damage the health of my engine is it worth the risk?

 

I believe the T4 drag stealth is on the stock tranny running in the 9s, so im sure you wont ever get your car to have enough hp that you need a new tranny.

 

Im not sure about the stock tranny im sure it has to have atleast sum upgraded clutch or sumthing. Mines the auto and my car had 2 different trannys b4 my time and 3 just in my owner ship that has only been a little bit over a year and a half. I dont do nutrual drops or anything or beat it. I think its somthing else thats wron with the car that makes it go.

 

Ive seen the T2 and T4's in person in georgia I do believe they are the originals, but yeah im sure they have some type of clutch mod done to it, but the trannies are quiet more stronger then people think. I put mine through hell going to tracks all the time, just the way I drive it on the road is still putting it through hell and it works perfectly fine, auto too. And if you cant afford to buy a new engine or tranny, then dont do something that can possibly break them. I tell that to people everytime they ask me about nitrous. I dont know too much about water injection though, The Stealth might know, or try the people at 3si.org, they will defiently be able to help.

 

The T2 runs a 5 speed. The T4 runs an awd ATX. It has been gone through by IPT Performance. It is very far from being stock.

 

I mean by its the original tranny, not a racing one or anything like that.

 

Ive thought about leting itp do some work on mine ive talked to them before and as for the money issue i have money. how you think i can afford 2 cars and to mod them when im only 17. If i break it i can fix it i paid for the 3 trannys so its all good

 

How much did they say it would cost to work on your tranny?

 

2850$ I dont know if i want to do it though yet. The new tranny in my car is doing pretty good and isnt giving me any problems yet so i think im gunna wait it out and once it goes then ill pay for the ipt one.

 

if they work on it, you can get more tq and stuff, and in my opinion ill take tq over hp any day.
