i have a 92 stealth tt that wont start. It ran good all the way up till i pulled it outside. Then when i went to put it back in the garage it started then died and now it wont start just turns over.Could i have did somethign to the computer because i keep the battery unhooked and only hooked it up when i was going to move it? or is it something else? If anyone else has had this happen to them let me know so i can fix it or if someone knows what wrong.thanks

 

unhooking the battery wouldnt cause any harm to the ecm, but battery might of died, if you can take it to a autozone they can check it for you for free.

 

Its not the battery cause thats what i was thinking at first but i put the battery in my talon and it starts fine.

 

Try maybe your starter, does it maybe clicking noises while you turn? Also try checking the alternator too

 

it runs now. All i did was put the battery in and it started right up. It wouldn't start before but it runs good now.

 

Lol um thats not a good sign, I would still get that looked at.

 

yea i plan to look the whole car over. but does anyone know what could have made it do that?

 

you can check the computer, it might have recordid something. Once i was driving and mine just stalled out and wouldn't start, after five minutes of siting on the side of the road it started right up. I would guess the ecu is at fault

 

a poor conection to the battery terminal or the other end of the battery cable can cause intermittant problems.
