I have a 93 stealth es dohc manual. My ecu is going out md190662will a 1994 fed stealth ecu md192591 work for my 93?

i think you need one with the same serial number, but dont quote me on that.

my tcu dosent match the same serial number when I replaced it and it runs fine, so im sure you dont need exact on the ecu either.

yeah 2nd gen uses 6g74 engine so the ecu's wont work at all considering totally different engine meaning totally different computer.

All generations use a 6g72 engine. The 1st gens were OBDI, 94-95 were a hybrid OBDI&II, 96+ were OBDII. No, the ECU from the 94 will not work in your car.

Thanks for your replies. So is thier any different part numbers that u can swap on any models? Just curious some people say u can dont know first hand.

I know first hand that I dont have the right serial number ecu for my car and it works perfectly fine.

i would think it would matter on the options and what your car is. you got to get one thats from a car just like yours, it can be a diff year but has to be a first gen.
