Default FLASHING LIGHTS AND WONT START

My car was dead the other day, soi charged it. When i went to start it it took the charge because the lights and everything worked, but it wouldnt turn over. All the lights and dash lights in the car start to flash when i open the door or turn the key on. I was just wondering if anyone knew the problem or if the computer needed to be reset? If so, where is the computer located?
thanks

to reset the computer you can undo the negetive cable from battery for 5 minutes, and as far as engine not turning over, possible that it is the starter, altrough i had same problem once and the next day it started just fine and never happened again. Maybe computer is going crazy?check capacitors

Are the battery terminals corroded/loose? Will the car jumpstart?

Take the battery to an autoparts store for testing...

A loose/corroded battery cable will give these cars fits. Use a knife, or hacksaw blade to trim a little of the lead where it pinches together. That will let you clamp the terminal down a little tighter. Use a wire brush (or battery terminal cleaner if you have one) and clean everything really well and put it back together. Jump start the car if need be, then take the car and tools to the nearest parts store and have them test your battery. Take money so you can buy a new battery. Problem solved. (hopefully)

You can also use baking soda and water to clean up any corrosion. Also make sure that your battery isn't grounding out by making contact with something it shouldn't be. Could cause that.

Stealth888,

I have a 95 Stealth... Do you have a Viper Alarm system in yours? I know that is what it was on mine... same problem it sounds like. Look under the drivers side dash and see if you see 2 small buttons. They may be well concealed. 1 is the Valet switch and 1 is the disarm button...

Hope this helps..

Tony
