Question Timing belt kit - what brand?

Recently helped my son buy a 95 Stealth, SOHC, with 97K on it. Car has been stored for the past three years. Seller says he was told timing belt was replaced when he bought it, but did not see any service records. So, we plan to replace the belt and pump before he starts driving the car regularly. I saw a post on a 3000GT forum that said to avoid any brands other than 3sx, because 3sx is the only one that is a direct factory replacement. But, the 3sx kits are more than $300! There's a Gates kit on ebay for less than $60. I've always thought Gates was a trustworthy brand. Any reason not to buy the Gates kit?

I used gates timing bolts on numerous cars that actually had a belt. Never an issue.

The 3sx belts may have the cool colored marks to make getting everything lined up easier...... Don't know if the gates belts will. (It did on the Subaru I didn't a while back.)
