Dodge StealthThe car that can still draw looks from auto enthusiasts everywhere, the Dodge Stealth. From the Naturally Aspirated version to the Twin Turbo, the Dodge Stealth has a little something for everyone.
I bought a 1995 Dodge Stealth on an online auction, sight unseen. It was delivered today. I know absolutely nothing about it. It has 195000 on it. VIN JB3AM44H6SY030464 The car came from Texas, and has virtually no rust, Even the underside looks to be covered in that red Texas dirt, but little to no rust. When I opened the hood, this is what I found. Well, I guess I cannot show you. Pic will not load. Maybe I am not allowed to post pics yet, I don't know. The intake manifold and the front rocker arm cover have been removed. I have no idea why, and I don't know how to find out, either. I am sure I will have lots of questions concerning this car, and appreciate any help I can get. Thank Greg
Host your pics someplace else, like photobucket, or imageshack, then just link to them here. (image tags.)
Pulled a build sheet for you car..... (you can get one here.)
P265/60R18 BSW On/Off Road Tires Really? Off Road tires??? Personally, I just don't see a Stealth as being a good off-roader... even the all wheel drive fellers.
I put a battery charger on the car and attempted to turn it over, It does nothing. The car is a manual, and it is in neutral. The parking brake is set, clutch is pushed in. Everything inside seems to work, but the starter does nothing. Am I missing something?
Not the security system biting you in the keester is it? Should be a "security" light in the dash somewhere.... bulb should test when you turn the key on, then go out. (if you have one.....) Otherwise, time to find out where it's losing it. Do you hear the starter relay click??
That looks an awful lot like an intake manifold to me...... That engine ain't gonna start. You can see where it bolts in, by the blue fellers sticking out of the holes it bolts to.
