I've been having this problem all summer long. I'm not able to drive it during winter because of my dirt driveway and front wheel drive. So it sat all winter with battery unhooked. Summer came, put brand new battery in and replaced the brakes. Got in the car and IT WOULDN'T START!! I have NOT had any problems last summer while I was driving it. I parked it and everything was good on it (except worn out brakes). Now it won't start... I have a few thoughts... but nothing has worked yet.

hi i also have the same problem no spark changed alot of parts , distributer , module, wires, coil, 92 stealth

 

is the car even trying to turn over? is it making a ticking? or is it not doing anything... id say its the starter... but i would also put some fuel stabolizer in there to restore the gas that has been sitting a while

 

have you tried the coil pack, spark plug wires, alternator, battery, starter? Those would be where I start.

 

this happend to friends 3000gt he had. it had a alarm system in it that crossed the starter so if you hit the switch then it wouldent start but had power. every once in a while he would hit the switch byaccident when getting out of the car.not sure if yours has an alarm but always a possiblility.

 

I RPLACED MY CONTROL MODULE , DISTRIBUTER, WIRES , COIL, COMPUTER , SPARKPLUG, CHECKED ALL MY FUSES, MY STARTER WORKS FINE WOULD THE ALTERNATOR CAUSE THE CAR NOT TO START ON A FULL BATTERY CHARGE
MY KIDS 92 STEALTH IS DRIVING ME CRAZY AND THE ELECTOMECHANIC WANTS 70 BUCKS AN HOUR HELLPPPPPPPP PLEASE

 

when you try to start it does it make any noise at all or even attempt to turn over? Does the lighting or stereo work when you put the key forward? If your car is aautomatic try starting it in neutral as well... sometimes it gets locked up when putting into park and will not let you start.

 

ALL LIGHTS WORK RADIO TOO ALSO TRYED TO MOVE SHIFTER TO SEE IF IT WOULD WORK BUT NO LUCK I THOUGHT MAYBE THE TRANSMITION HAS A SAFTY SWITCH LIKE MY OLD MUSTANG THAT WENT BAD AND WOULDNT LET ME START IT . DIDNT WORK
I THOGHT TO REPLACE THE KEY SWITCH MAYBE IT HAS A FAULT IN THE WIREING

 

does it have an after market alarm system that does not alow the car to startwhen triggered? that the last thing i can think of.. sorry
