Default need advice on my new 93stealth, many problems!!

i have a 1993 stealth es, dohc, v6, 24v, manual and its green

and actually i want some opinions on it, (by the way i dont know too much about cars =/)
i deffinetly need to do some work on it such as

new clutch - it will go into 2nd gear but it drastically looses speed and it will not regain speed in 3rd gear
therefore now i just go straight from 1st gear to 3rd, it doesnt seem to be a problem

needs a new timing belt

new water pump

5 seals are leaking

and i just recently got into a accident, no engine or hood damage, just a side swipe but i do need a new front quarter panel and a new rear quarter panel

also my car has about 230,000 miles on it

now im 17 and im a waitressand still going to school
i only bought my car for about 2,000 at an auction and i wasnt aware of the problems

what do you guys think, should i just give up on it and put my money twoards a new car?

or what do you think would be the lowest amount of money possible to be spent onthe timing belt, water pump, and the body damage
if you(I) have a friend that could do it

I would really appretiate it,

THANKS! =] Olta

you say you got side swipped correct? collect insurance on it. that's what it's for! blame the other problems on them, worse case scenario... they total it, you get cash, and you can buy the car back and put some $ into it to fix it up.

that i was in the accident i begged the guy not to call the cops

Sad to say, it sounds like it may be a basket case. The 60K maintenance can be done for around $1000, less if you can do the work yourself. Fixing the body and paint can get expensive. What concerns me the most is the tranny problem in second.

well i can get the timing belt and water pump done for like 500$ cause i know someone that knows someone
and the body a friend of mine said he could find the parts and put them on and bondo what he needs to
but he didnt really give me an estimate
but whats the big deal about the clutch? ive heard that alot of cars get second gear messed up after many years
i figured going straight to third just was a solution ? lol guess not

but do you think that if i was to get the pump and belt and body damage fixed i could sell the car for about $3000
even with the high *** milage

or is just a lost cause?

The parts alone for the 60K service are $300 or more.
