timing belt broke
My timing belt broke on the road on the way home. What are the odds of having bent valve now because of that. its a 2.4L 4 cylinder automatic. And how the hell do I find out. I heard with this type of engine 9 out of 10 times you bend valves when the belt brakes.
Best thing to do is install a new timing belt and before you put the covers back on start the engine. If it runs fine then put the covers on . If not running good, then the valves are bent.
