97 Stratus 2.5 Starts then Stalls Why???
UPDATE. It starts & runs for a few seconds. It seems to run out of gas. It has good spark & fuel a the rail. I don't know if it has enough fuel pressure, but I assume it does since I put in a new pump & filter.
Can it be the crank position sensor?
Please somebody must know. Any help would be great!!

I wish I could answer you... That's a little beyond me.
If I were you, I'd take the topic over to the General Tech and Information section. There may be readers over there that can help you more but will never read it here. You know?

Okay...I'll think outside the box for a minute. The symptoms are almost identical to what happens when the theft alarm has been tripped. Until you turn the alarm off, the car will start and immediately die. Now... what's different is that the horn will be blowing, the headlights and interior lights will be flashing leaving no doubt that the theft alarm is causing the problem. However, there may be an electrical problem in the theft alarm system that's keeping your car from starting without all the obvious bells and whistles.
lock, lock, unlock, unlock on the key fob disables the alarm, my dads jeep did this after reconnecting the battery, no horn or anything, just start and die.
also, check IAC (if the 2.5's use the same setup as a jeep, they get dirty and stick)

From your description, the culprit looks like your EGR valve and/or solenoid.
