How do i disable the seat belt alarm??
How do i disable the seat belt alarm in my 04 Stratus?? i hate it...everytime i take my seat belt off for more than 30 seconds it starts sounding off and WILL NOT STOP!!! anyone with help to how I can disable it would be great...thanks in advance
find a wrecked stratus, and buy the seat belt buckle, and leave it pluged in. or take the locking assembly apart, and run a wire connecting the ends. i figure it just works by passing a mild amount of power through the seat belt male end, completing the circuit.
mmm... the thing only chimes when you're moving without your seatbelt. don't move without your seatbelt, and it won't chime. or find the buckle if you insist on not wearing it, that'd be the easiest way to do it.

yes i understand the fact that i am supposed to be wearing a seat belt...but i wud still like to disable it...thanks for the great advice though champ
actually, I was thinking about it this morning, and it seems like it only goes off when the belt is out of the spool so far, like the light goes off after I get the belt halfway down, if that is in fact that case, then you're going to have a helluva time disabling it I think. The switch would be somewhere in the pillar, probably simply an electrical contact on the drum with the belt on it that closes when the spool has rotated so far. Or something spiffier than that.
