I have a 2003 se sedan 2.4l DOHC and was wanting to swap for a srt-4 engine, aside from motor mounts would it be easier to install and what else would i need to do?

 

From what I've read the mounts are the same. It should be way easier then my V6 to SRT.

 

so i been told the same motor in a stratus is in a eclipse gt, so i was wondering could you swap the 5speed out of the eclipse an put it in the stratus an will it fit cause i hate this automatic i want a manual so wat manual tranny can i swap into my 2.7l stratus that will fit and work

If you have a 2.7l in your car, then no, it wont work. The Stratus COUPE and the Eclipse are similar. They share a 3.0 v6 sohc and 2.4 I4 sohc

decided when the time comes I'm rebuilding the 2.7 and boosting it!

 

There will be no rebuild as my ecu has again outrun its tuning.
So I have started my parts search and the srt swap is underway.

 

Any progress?
