Default Radio

I installed a new battery on my 2001 and now the radio won't work. I heard there is some sort of "code" I need to put in, but where, how?

By chance are the lights on the radio (equalizer sliders?) flashing in a steady manner?
If yes, might as well head to the store for a new radio.

They are all short threads below, but all point to '01 Dodges, that once the radio lost power, never came back on. We all thought maybe a security code, but the dealers confirmed that there is no feature like that on the factory radios.

OK. Have you checked the 10A audio fuse? The radio is a constant draw, and may have popped the fuse on re-installation of the battery.

If that's the case (one radio works, another does not), than you've got a dead radio. If you have a warrenty on the stock radio, than have the dealer worry about replacing it, otherwise aftermarket radios are inexpensive now, and usually do much more (mp3, aux in, expandable...)
