Default Dreamspeed cold air intake questions

I found a cold air intake for my 2004 Stratus Coupe SXT with the 2.4 Liter engine. It is made by dreamspeed model CP 433. It costs $110 on the dreamspeed2.com website. It claims to increase HP by 5 - 6 HP. What I wanted to know is is this a good price and does anyone know what performance increases I should expect.

It says that it is a tow piece design that can be converted to a short ram intake. I bought a K&N air filter the other day that fits in the stock air intake. I would use it if it will fit in the Dreamspeed intake.

did you buy a flat drop in filter or a conular filter?

haha...if you say so...i just think it looks more useful than a big ugly flat filter...although for my stock intake system, i do have a K&N drop in. then again, cant even see my cone filter because it is inside the LF wheel well.

I have purchased the intake and also wanted to know what torque increase I can expect. There should probably be improved mileage too with the increased airlflow too should there?

Ok your engine in your 2004 stratus sxt 2.4 Liter is the same exact engine as a mitsubishi eclipse from the year 00-04. So anything that will fit on that engine will fit on yours. It is exactly identical. I got a AEM V2 for a 00-04 mitsubishi eclipse motor and it worked great. Fit so perfect no modifications.
