I had my Demon motor rebuilt as it started to blow blue smoke. Oil will get past the rings of the pistons and will burn in the cylinders. A good machine shop may charge you $1500.00 to completely rebuild the motor, but you may need new pistons if you need it bored out instead of honed from excessive wear,

Default Think I fixed the problem

I changed the oil pressure switch and the knocking sound has went away and the car longer shut off. I hope that it is fixed.

Sounds like you have a lot of oil on the outside of your engine too. Having oil and dirt on an engine will act like an insulator so you need to wash all the oil on the engine. You won't get it looking like new but keeping an engine clean seems to increase their life. At least thats what I have discovered.
