Default Need Help w/Torque specs

Hey everyone, I'm a big time enthusiast, but I'm only on my permit and currently own a 96' stratus.

I wanted to clean my interior, I was planning to remove the seats. I lost the manual so I have no clue what the torque specs are for the bolts that hold the seat.

Thanks a lot.

What manual? In my owners manual and Haynes manual there's no listing for seat anchor torque specs. When I took out my seats in my 1995 Stratus, I just tightened them snug by feel. I'm guessing that I tightened them to around 45-60 ft lbs. somewhere in that range.

Out of all that, 45 ft lbs looks like the answer. I checked w/ Mitchell on demand and it says 44-59ftlbs.

Thanks a lot guys, I thought it would be in the owners manual but I wouldn't know since I don't have one. I'll make sure to torque everything properly

I would of thought the owners manual would have had all that information. I'll have to go check my owners manual to see what kind of information it does have. If it doesn't have basic torque specs, what good would that book be except maybe leveling out the table in my mobile home.

You were petty close with 45 to 60 ft pounds. I would have guess about the same, but i looked it up in the service manual. I believe the only basic torque is for the tires.

You mean seat mounting bolts isn't a basic torque common repair? I'm really surprised that specification isn't in the owners manual.

I think this thread needs to be bumped or posted as a sticky. When I restored the interior on my '98, this thread was very useful indeed. Thank you guys for posting those specs!
