Default Trunk lid

douse anyone have any ideas to help my trunk lid not rattle....... i have 2 12" sony's whith a 1200 watt amp and the only way i can get my trunk to stop rating is when i sit on it........ any sugestions

i also have put the pins down on it but the pins are all the way in the front by the hinges

dynamat works pretty well, its a little heavy. If you do like 3 layers under the trunk interior and on the trunk lid, it should absorb alot of the sound waves and make the trunk stop rattling. Also you might wanna check and see if its the trunk lid or the license plate rattling.

You can move the braket the the trunk latches too. I moved it down alittle and it tighted the trunk up it helped alot.

Trust me, i know what your dealing with. I almost had it fixed, then built vented boxes for my type r's, and everything rattles again, along with the roof moving in and out about an inch (see video here) Well anyways, i put some pads where the rubber things hit the trunk (hard to explain lol) and it fixed it before the box upgrade. Im going to be installing fatmat in the whole trunk (great alternative to dynomat btw) and hopefully that will fix it.

Thanxs i can try the pad thing but i still dont know how "2 coff" moved his posts up...... if i dod that i would have to drill though the trunk lid

It's not on the trunk lid it were the lid latches to the body that "D" looking part that the lid latches too has two bolts you can loosen and move down to tighten the trunk.
