Spark Plug tube Remove 2.5L v6
I want to get access to compress the valve springs using a universal spring compressor on the intake side. However the tubes are in the way. I dont want to force them out and I dont see replacement parts at az.
Any advice?

You can do it that way, but i would order some new ones after you get them out. If the cylinder head is already off, you can heat up the tubes and try removing them the same way.
Thanks for the reply.
I shine a light down the tube and the bottom appears threaded on the inside. Is this piece screwed in or pressed in?
On this block the tube sits in more than an inch. Thats a lot of friction.
Are these standard tubes or specific to a certain engine. Sears offers one for 2.99 each but doesnt specify the engine size, just the model.
Tomorrow I am going to buy an inner pipe wrench which grabs from the inside instead of the outside.
