2000 Stratus Shudders and Struggles Uphill <FIXED>
My car's been having this issue for a while now, but unless the car's already in motion, like say stopped at a light before an uphill grade (approximately a 15 degree grade), it will shudder when you put a large amount of throttle and lose power. Earlier today, the car was only going 35 up the bridge (55 was the limit) and shuddered until I reached the level road on top. The check engine light did come on, but it turns off as soon as the car recovers on the top. I had the pedal down about 3/4 of the way and the RPMs stayed just above 2500rpm, I could easily feel the car holding back and shuddering slightly. It only seems to do this if I'm not already in motion, as there is a hill I drive up when leaving the college I attend, the car doesn't shutter, but it does feel weak. It also experiences this from a stand still on level ground but only if you put a good amount of throttle (about more than half-way on the pedal). Otherwise, the engine works fine, but doesn't like high throttle input when in motion (like for passing).
I searched into this and I got a few things saying it's the engine mounts (specifically the CV joints and half shafts, though this was for a '95 Intrepid), so I wanted to make sure before I decide what the issue is.
Car Stats:
Model: 2000 Dodge Stratus SE Sedan
Engine: 2.4L I4 150hp
Transmission: Automatic
Aftermarket: None
Mileage: 141,700mi
