also when i installed the old converter back fluid came out before i put it in, so than i just bolted it up, and i think i didnt get fluid in it before i put it on the tranny, and also when i filled thru dip stick in only took 2 quarts and it was above the fill line. you think i should keep filling and let it idle? i have no idea what to do. it goes thru the gears like from park and stuff with no problems, but it just dont grab gears at all

Did you leave the torque converter in the transmission when you removed the motor? Or did you remove the converter with the motor. You ck the transmission neutral?

the converter came with the tranny, i undid the bolts, why? or hows the proper way im supposed to do it? i mean i have another thread in a nother web page going, i took the tranny out with engine again.

my finding was on the tranny shaft towards the rear of the big shaft, its shaved off, i have no idea if i did something wrong, but the TC itself is bent, like on the neck where it mates the tranny shaft, whats tyhe correct way to install it? in neutral?
