Default '96 Dodge Stratus won't start

Help.......I have a 96 stratus that i used to jump start my lawn mower one evening last week. The car was not running when I did this. Next morning, the car would crank fine but not start. Suspecting that the jumping might have triggered something related to the alarm system, I used my car door beeper to reset the alarm to no avail. I tried starter fluid in the air intake but would not hit a single time. At my mechanic's suggestion, I locked and unlocked the doors with my key......to no avail. I have tried many combinations of locking and unlocking.

Don't know what else to try that I'm capable of. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to DF

Do you have a factory alarm system? If you don't have a factory system disconnect the battery and turn the key on and put the battery cable back. Be sure to leave a door open in case the door locks want to lock.
