Default R/T coupe headlights

Anyone ever have a problem with headlight replacement? I blew the right side lowbeam today, replaced both bulbs with new ones and right side low beam still doesn't work?? I checked the fuses both under hood and in dash, all fine. Rotated the relays to see if that was a problem. It popped when I started the car and turned on the lights leaving work, all other lights work.......???

hmm...i only have a dual bulb, so i guess yours are different than mine, i didnt know that. i know that this will sound awfuly dumb, but when you replaced the bulbs, were you careful not to touch the new bulbs? the oil in your skin causes halogen style bulbs to burn out more quickly.

Sorry, when I said I replaced both bulbs I meant the left side and right, mine are dual bulbs as well! Great question on touching, I was very careful and have even flipped the bulbs so I know I have a working one on the right side and still the low beam doesn't work. I even replaced it tonight with another working bulb with no luck. I heard the pop when I turned on the lights and was parked with the front to a cement wall so I saw it go out. I've never heard of having to disconnect the battery on a bulb replacement but other than that it is testing for ground and power before beginning a trace..... thank you for the reply!

this may sound dumb, but are you sure that the bulb that you have is a 9007, with high and low in one bulb?

Yes they are 9007 bulbs, the left side ( both old and new bulb) work fine, right side( high beam is fine) doesn't work reguardless of the bulb I use. I have checked the low and high beam fuses under the hood as well and also switched the relays.

I also inspected what I could see of the wiring and grounds.

A bad switch or worst! Will check for power first then check switch. Apreciate the help, what I thought would be a 5 minute job has turned into a pain! My R/T is also a 2002 but in platnium.

Bad you will never believe what was wrong with the headlight!! The most simple of things, when they made the new bulb the sealer for the leads got onto the low beam lead.... switching in the bulb I knew worked didn't help because the damn silicone was left behind in the socket! I wasted two evenings on this one.....could have been worst like a wiring harness!
