have an 04 sedan 2.7liter ,was changing oil had car jacked up on driverside, decided to check suspension, bearings etc. when i move wheel forward and back as far as transmission allows in park;notice engine and mount moved is play in front engine mount normal less then 1/2 inch movement

 

You could have some play in the mounts, 1/4 to 1/2 an inch is okay. When it comes down to 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock you shouldn't have any play. Which rack n pinion or outer tie rod ends. Same deal with 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock, which is axle/wheel beaings.
