Hi,
I have the same issue after bad wire during remote stater wiring and the cabin smell like wire burn then few minutes later the engine light came one with P0403/0403/0406
2005 Caravan,3.3L, the egr seems fine i am afraid something went wrong with the wire harness?
Please help

Inspect EGR connector for looseness or corrosion, if nothing find, you problem will be the EGR valve or control solenoid(which comes with the EGR)

It became a stored code instead of active, it means. If it fails the test again, which it most likely will, ur CEL will turn back on.

Thanks for the quick reply, do you think these codes have something to do with the bad remote start connection?? Because after that I smelled wire burn and then I disconnect the wire right away, which is made me think something happend with the harness under the steering wheel. Any advice??
Now I reset the PCM by unplug the POS(+) battery cable and short it with the NEG cable, 2 codes disappear and then CEL came back again with P0406.
Now the questions is if I am changing the EGR valve should i buy the original Mopar or something else? which one is good or doesn't matter?
from all the search i made it seems to be selonied issue, any idea that could be fix or even tested?
Thanks
