i changed plugs, wires and valve cover gasket and it seems to run better now. one of the plugs did have oil on it so maybe the o ring leaking caused issue

Had the same issue with my 02 3.0, I would definatly check for vac leaks and before all else fails your fuel pressure, car managed to act like it had a vac leak before the pump crapped out on me.

I would also clean the throttle body and check the EGR valve too.

If the problem is intermittent, you have some good advice to go by, I'd also try some injecotr cleaner, as a partially clogged injector can play havoc...If it is an all the time occurance, I'd take a second look at the timeing belt. My wifes old Stratus 01 2.4L acted like that when I installed the timing belt a tooth or two off (long story, just told it in another thread yesterday if you're that curious) But it ran perfectly fine had good performance and everything, it just ran rough as heck at the light...parked in driveway it was fine, somethign about being in gear and holding the brake...if the brake was let off it'd creep along at a nice smooth idle, but stopped in gear, it missed liked crazy

I have exact same problem. When I stop or put on park rpm drops, but picks right back up. Specially when A/C on. My timing belt changed last year, but problem started like about 6-8 months ago. For this RPM drop issue, I changed the spark plugs, ignition coil, air valve, couple hose, cleaned up throttle body. Put the idle little high, but then I burn so much gas.

I don't know what else to do??? Maybe there is a hose leaking air, but can't find it.

Driving me nuts!!!! I mean it drives fine, but this Rpm drops are killing me.
