Hi, question for you all... My rear brakes are not working... just wanting to know if it is a common problem on these and what may be the cause of it? No ABS... Thanks Rick

 

When you are saying the rear brake aren't working, do you mean the ABS part or the rear brakes are not appyling to the brake rotors? Is the ABS light on?

 

The brakes are not applying... the car doesn't have ABS( I think ) Gonna change the hoses to see if it helps... when the pedal is depressed and released I can feel the brakes move a little just not enough... also the e-brake works so I would assume the calipers are not froozen...

 

The ebrake and caliper are seperate mechanisms, so just because one works didn't mean the other will. More than likely you will have to rebuild the calipers, I have to rebuild one of my fronts.

 

Darn... I was hoping it wouldn't be the calipers.... could they get partially frozen( were the piston only comes out a little? ) Thanks for the inputs
