Default I have no idea what's causing this

I have a 2003 2.4L DOHC stratus. My car was running fine besides having a leaky water pump. I replaced the water pump, and it immediately started having some other problem. As soon as I started it up, I smelled that the catalytic converter was clogged, so I had autozone read the error and thats what it said. At this point, every time I hit the gas from a stop, it would just sit without revving at all until I let off and pumped the gas a few time then it would eventually go. The brakes wouldn't work until it started going. I had the converter removed and it still has the same problem. It has brand new spark plugs. Does anyone know what might be causing the problem/how to fix it?

Welcome to DF

If the engine was running fine before the repairs, then i would look at the timing. And if you need a picture on how the timing should look, just send me your email.
