One day last month, my entire dash zeroed out, everything on it. Then almost all the lights on the dash came on then went off and left me with a "no bus light" after it did this my a/c's chill turned warm, and the dash continues to flicker on and off the whole time i ride. Sometimes now when i start it up depending on how the car feels everything will work fine, till i drive down the road some then i hear a "ding" and it starts all over again...My mech. told me they will charge a 100bucks to check it out at my local dealership and 400 to 1500 to get it fixed afterwards...........Basically i need some kind of insight, trick or something to fix this, any suggestions anyone besides a trade-in?

I need more information, year and engine size. Sound like burnt wires going to the crank sensor.

 

Its a 2006..with a 2.7 (not flex fuel)
