Default 2.5 V6 wont start when it rains

I have a 1998 with a 2.5 V6. When it rains it wont run. Runs great when its dry. Even when its really cold it runs fine. I replaced the rotor, distributor cap, plug wires and plugs. Didn't help. I have tried searching online and found it is a common problem for this engine. Lots of people complaining about it but no one has found the answer. Anyone out there have this problem? A mechanic wants to change the distributor and crank position sensor but it's just a shot in the dark. Any help would be great.
Thanks

have you checked electrical connections for bad sealing or corrosion, dodge had some problems but can't remember what years with the connections on the ECM/PCM being messed up

I replaced the distributer cap. I will check the ECM/PCM connector. Maybe water is leaking behind the dash
