2002 Stratus R/T coupe headlight, why is a sedan headlight unable to be used, but can use a coupe headlight in a sedan?

 

You can't do either. They are different.

 

Do you by chance know what makes them different exactly? Sorry, I am so confused right now.

 

Completely different bodies. The coupe is based off the Mitsubishi Eclipse. The coupe models shared very little other than the name and a few exterior styling cues with sedan and convertible models.

 

Got it! Do you know of a place to get replacements for less than an arm and a leg by chance? I hit a deer yesterday and fortunately the only issue is the glass on the headlight, but the glass is completely gone so I need a new assembly.

 

Usual places. Ebay, amazon, junk yard. They will cost a bit though since they are few and far between. Just make sure you specify coupe.

 

I maye have one. What side? I might have just the lense too. Theyre pretty easy to swap out

Edit- I just checked and i have a complete passenger side headlight for the 01/02 coupe. Mounting tabs are intact, and has all bulbs.
