2005 RT or 2006 SXT
I'm looking into giving my mom my car (2005 Stratus Sedan SXT) and getting a new one. There isnt' anything wrong with the car, I just had to impulse buy it and my moms car is dying (1995 saturn sl1). I wanted to get a sunroof and the v6 but ended up with a v4 and no sunroof.
In my searches I noticed that there is no 2006 coupe. What do you recommend. Getting a 2005 Coupe or getting the 2006 SXT Sedan with the 2.7 liter engine? I do ALOT of highway driving.
Note: My 2005 I have had for 8 months or so and reaching 26,000 miles.

I hate driving sticks. I probably would be if I wanted to race or have fast speeds, but i drive it on the highway everyday. My mom has a stick and constantly complains about shifting.

I've got an '04 RT with all the options. I've got the auto stick, has some delay but not too bad, leather, power seat. 3.0 V6. I'm from Wisconsin, but go to school in Florida. I got the car in Wisconsin and did the 23 hour drive straight by myself, so the car is fairly comfortable.
Well, I have an 02 R/T 5spd and other then the crappy downtown traffic, it really gives me no problems on the highway. In fact, it runs quite well on the highway.
Stop n go traffic will suck for any 5spd, but the reality is, it sucks for everyone involved period. The only convenience an auto has is the lack of shifting in stop n go traffic.
Honestly, if you are considering a Stratus Coupe, I'd go with the 5spd. If you want a sled, just by the sedan or get something else.
