04 status sxt
Hello Im kinda new here. I live in Jacksonville, FL. I have a 04 status sxt 2.4L SOHC w/ a manual 5 speed trans. With a K&N air filter, I was hoping to find some more mods or some ideas on what I can do to make the interior stand out more. So any help would be awsome. thanks for your time.

hmm..grey is a good color. embroidered headrests, maybe matching your body color. you can alway paint trim pieces, but ive not done that. grey is good because custom lighting will work nicely, its like having black or white. maybe run some neons, or LEDs. to sort of highlight my seats, i installed race harnesses, and wired in blue neon, with some blue dash LEDs. no embroidered headrests yet though. but im working on them currently.
Here are some ideas from my car, I did everything myself except for the headrests.

The Bezels I sanded all of the rough texture off where I was painting. I started with 120 grit, 320, 400, 800, 1000 grit. I would recommend wet sanding so the sand paper doesn't get clogged up as fast, Than I cleaned it all off with Mineral Spirits, taped off where I was going to paint, 3 coats of Duplicolor Adhesion promoter (basically a clear primer for plastics, worked great) 1 coat..wait 3 minutes, 2nd coat wait 3 min, 3rd coat, wait 5 min, than your ready for the color of your choosing. I used 3 coats total wait 15 minues in between coats ( remember light coats, to avoid runs, and sags.) let dry for 24 hours, than your ready for your clear coat I used Duplicolor Acrilyc Laqour clear coat(sp) 4 coats of clear let dry for 15 minutes in between each coat, than let dry for 24 hours. Now your turn to wetsand. I started with a 1000 grit remember to use a lot of water so you don't burn through your clear coat, 1000 grit till orange peel is gone than move to your 2000 grit. After your done wetsanding now you move onto your running compound. I used a 3m Rubbing compound. You have to work this stuff in very thourghly it;s not wax, more so like a liquid sand paper, do this until you see that thing shine really well. Fianlly install back into your vehicle, let the fumes settle for a couple weeks, than apply your polish and wax.. Any more questions feel free to pm me or post here.
