The camshaft position sensor is mounted to the rear of the cylinder head.

I didn't want to start a new thread, could someone please post a picture or diagram of where the cam sensor is? I have a 96 2.4 v6 stratus and I may have a problem that requires replacement of the cam sensor. Thanks in advance

I have a 98 Stratus V6 and the camshaft sensor is located in the distributor. I'm pretty sure all V6's are in the distributor.

thanks for the reply! I changed the cam sensor but I am still having the hesitation @ 40-50-60mph. Currently, it's only throwing a cylinder 5 misfire code. Perhaps, that is the hesitation I've been experiencing....any suggestions on a resolution?

You need to remove the plenum and remove the number 5 spark plug. You may found oil in the spark plug tube. The oil leaking into the spark plug hole could be causing the misfire.
