I have a 2003 Stratus SXT Sedan that just started to show the check engine light. I have driven it 2 times since i got it back from the dealership to have the Solenoid Pack in the transmission replaced. The car has driven perfectly the 2 times i have driven it since i got it back and this is the first time the check engine light has ever come on. My question is what am i doing wrong beacuse i can't get the check engine codes to display? I have tried doing the keydance of turning it from the off position to the on position 3 times but i cant get the flashing display to get the codes. Maybe i am doing it too fast or too slow? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

 

Make sure you are turning it off then full on (dash lights on but don't start). You can do it pretty slowly - it's not the kind of thing that has a tight timing window. It takes a few seconds for the codes to flash when you turn it on for the last time.
