How Many Miles On Your Stratus???
2001 Stratus 2.7 99,800 miles, original engine and transmission, new front struts, AC control head, rear main seal at 48K miles. owned for the last 9 years.
2002 Stratus RT sedan 5 speed, 154,000 miles all options, new clutch and 5 speed transmission (transmission sounded like gravel was in it at idle, replaced under aftermarket warantee at 91K), rear struts at 90K, rear mount went, original engine. Bought with 84K March 1, 2008. Good car, always starts, plan on driving 'till the 2.7 blows up
I use Mobil 1 and change every 3 to 4 K miles always. Can't be too friendly to the 2.7

Bought this car from a stealership for $5000 about 6 months ago to use for my courier/delivery work, it used to be a rental car before so it was beat on everyday. 2 days later the transmission blows (dealer says oh that sucks good luck with that or we can fix it for another $5000) so i pulled a used trans out of a junkyard and drop that in, then replaced the a/c compressor and a CPS sensor, everything else is still original on the car. Going on 157k miles now with no problems, I don't baby it either, It's been flooded and hydrolocked, drove it untill the headlights were underwater, transmission fluid was pink milky water, motor is all original never touched except the cps and still getting 34mpg+ on the highway. It was truely a POS in ruff shape when I bought it but it's proved to be one amazing car. I am cleaning it up now and making it a luxary car once again, it has a surprisingly smooth quiet ride for a sporty car and is roomy inside so I'll hang onto it keep driving it untill the wheels fall off.
By the way, her name is Charline.

2004 Stratus R/T 104,000 miles. Just bought her, calling it SickQuick because its deceptively fast. I really like it, haven't owned a car car in a long time, but couldn't afford the fuel in my ram anymore. Not exactly sure yet how i feel about it being 95% mitsubishi, had to slap a mopar sticker on the air box to make myself feel better. I used to have an '88 dakota with the mitsu motor, ran like a champ for over 200K miles... Hoping this mitsu motor does the same. I threw a pic/description up in my "garage" here if yall want to check it out.
Just got this one from my mom for my daughter. $500 for the car with 77.8K miles. Replaced upper and lower control arm, struts, headlights (were foggy) and power window motor. Runs good and interior is in good shape. Overall, not a bad deal for under $1200 total.
04 with the 2.7 just turned 150k and still running well. Most of the suspension has been replaced, and valve cover gaskets. Other than that just regular maintenance and a little tlc. We have owned it since 16k miles. So you could say she has treated us well.
I have a 2005 Dodge Stratus with 466,000 miles on the orginal 2.7 litre v6 motor and transmission. No major work has been done to either. As of today I have put two alternators 2 rear ball joints 1 T-stat 1 water/coolant housing. 5 sets of tires and 5 sets of front brakes and 2 pair of front rotors. and 2 windshields and outer tie rod ends. And just passed the Colorado state emissions test. I thought I read some where its about 477,000 mile to the moon and back to earth.
well still running strong. have had a bit of work done though. new suspension front and back, new master cylinder, new front axle( mechanic told me it was hanging on by a thread, one wrong bump and it would have fallen right out) and when i took it in to get inspected was told it needed exhaust, body work( rotted away under doors on both sides) and said i my head gasket was bad( here the retard that checked it didnt even bother looking at my thermostat becuase if he did he would have realized the seal on it went and just had to replace it) and on a side not if autozone ever tries to up sell you ne thing dont buy it. but a failsafe thermo for bout 15 bucks and it went less than a week later and had no heat. had to replace it again and this time i got a regular one. found a mechanic that patched up the body rot and got it to pass inspection but still need to get exhaust leak fixed. one shop said they would replace it for like over 600 bucks. i keep seeing on here thta others with the 2.41 4 cyl have had to replace the head gasket and want to now if ther is ne way i can prevent that from happening on mine. @ 142,000 now.
