Default Timing belt...

At what point should the timing belt be changed? And if I have an aftermarket warranty should they replace if its due or if it breaks?

i would say about 99% certainty that they will not fix the damage if the timing belt breaks.

my owners manual saus that it "can be changed" at 60,000. then at 100,000, it says that it has to be changed, if not changed at 60,000. then again, B_52 here made a comment in another thread that it is to be changed at 70,000.

Factory lists it at 60k US, 100k CA (due to state laws). The belts in the V6s have been known to last over 100k, but I wouldn't push it. I'm around 86k on the factory belt (AFAIK).
