You came back at me saying I did not know what HP the 2005 Vette was by posting info from a 2006, which as I said is VERY different than a 2005. Your original post also stated stock.

Sorry if I upset you. I know I thought it was completely stock. Read all through the posts, I stated that I found out he had aftermarket exhaust, and air intake. I didn't say you didn't know the horespower. I was just browsing, and found that dyno sheet for a 2006. I didn't know there was a difference

Listen "dude", first off, street racing is AGAINST THE LAW and whether the roads are wet, it is raining, it is snowing or the roads are perfectly clear, your statement "I wouldn't do anything to put myself or others in danger." is total crap! The Mustang that you supposedly had, with some upgrades could have given your "buddies" Vette a run for his money.

I have always wanted a viper. I didn't buy it "JUST" to beat my friends corvette. I am not 16 years old. I am young, but not 16 try 23. I have worked since I was 15 saving for a car. When I was 20, I finally got my first real car that I bought myself. Which was my 97 mustang. It seemed so fast at first, but believe me it was nothing compared to the viper, and my buddies vette. I don't what your deal is? Whether its that a corvette beat me, and you don't have the ***** to admit or what. I admitted it, and I am going to fix it too. I will upgrade till it is what I want it to be. So please go to some othere forum if your going to start BS, because I may be 23 but I am more mature than you evidentally. Just asking you to be smart out there and avoid the temptation to race everything that revs its engine.

 

Stock for stock, the 2005 Z06 is faster than the vipers all the way to 2006. Those cars are lighter too. I've seen several videos of those eating Vipers, Gallardos and more.

 

The Z06 is a damn fast car, there is no doubt about that. Depending on upgrades, it is hard to compare the two unless they are bone stock and fresh from the dealer running the same fuel, etc.

The fact remains, even if you have the fastest and sickest Z06 on the street, you are still driving "just another Corvette", when you are driving a Viper, you are turning heads everywhere because there just are not that many on the streets and they far exceed the look and status of the vette.

I agree. A corvette is just a corvette and a Viper is a Viper. You'll never get the looks in a Corvette that you'll get in a viper. My parents use to own a 2000 Viper (we sold it in mid 2003). You wont believe how many comments we've received from others asking if it's a Corvette.
