but the viper wins? BS... so it wins ONCE out of 20 runs. The number can be manipulated however you want... the GT is still faster. If you look long enough you'll find numbers saying the Geo Metro is faster (exaggeration). I mean come on guys... You gotta give credit where credit is due. If your talking 'Bang for the Buck' thats a different story... the Viper is much less expensive for pretty close to the power of the GT. But as far as the viper being faster... Sorry... but no. (not w/ equal drivers and the same road conditions) Maybe you could take a Freak viper vs. a weak GT... but thats SUPER rare.

And for the people saying "Just put a turbo on the viper", Now your talking Apples and Oranges. Then someone COULD put a bigger SC on the GT... Its not easy to just change /upgrade / add a turbo... Especially when they are as fine tuned as these cars. There is SO much work that has to be done to change the compression to except the added TC / SC.

Keep your Apples w/ your Apples and Oranges w/ Oranges. The GT is Faster then the viper -> stock for stock. But the Viper is a WAY! better bang for your buck.

Good comparison xxrillixx, the Viper does lose. The GT has numerous advantages over the Viper, but a win is a win.

Basically, the car's governed to a certain speed and the entire car is certified at that speed.....

I dunno if that applies to the Viper....

The Viper is at 199Mph with a 6000 Rpm electonically governed redline, but the speedometer reads 220 mph.
