seems funny to me that with all the engine upgrades thats coming out for the numerous dodge cars/trucks they still gonna have same engine in viper seems like its getting a bit old and i would imagine a new engine upgrade for vipers would make a big sales spike for dodge and maybe some older vipers would be a bit more in the reasonable price range.(being is u can make supra that could actually pull away from vipers in most gears and spend only half as much to do it with 4 less cylinders)

 

They just changed the engine from a 450Hp to 500Hp since the last generation which ended in 2003. How often would you like Dodge to keep switching engines? Lol

I think it could use alot more power, 600Hp would be awesome with the same V10. They might as well bump up the price too to about 100K.

I am just waiting for the Firepower to be a go and hoping that they will stick a slightly more powerful version of the new HEMI in it and keep it priced to around 50G's. Then we might have another good looking fun to drive 500 HP MOPAR.

Seeing that the Saleen S7 only has a V8 and is alot faster, I don't think it needs a bigger engine. More engine would just mess it up even more. It needs an aerodynamic tune-up, weight reduction, stock turbo(s)/supercharger and a few more power goodies.

buty ea it needs some aero dynamic help, it sucks bad in that department

 

i say just turbo it and call it a day

 

Inside word is they are testing a new V10 right now thats putting out close to 600hp. Thats straight from the horses mouth.
