Im doing the kegger mod, which is to cut that out, and angle the outlets more.
but you truck is non-egr i believe. My truck is EGR hense the difference
ahh yes good point. if i were you i would do an egr delete. im pretty sure they make block-off plates .
although, my 96 ram had that divider and it was non-egr. they have changed a lil bit on the newer 5.9's , my harmonic balancer is completly different that the older models. found out the hard way, got a underdrive pully kit and it wouldnt work, i think it was for 95-01.
where there is a will there is a way... ive heard of this being done before. never had to deal with egr myself. ask over in 2nd gen, i think thats where i heard about it.
is there a sensor on the egr?
i deleted the egr pipe, but not the valve. thats next, i dont have the plate for it. but put it this way. I just put in a new ported and polished intake manifold with kegger mod, wit hughes plate. new cap/rotor, plugs, coil, fuel injectors cleaned. and lets just say this. ive gone 218 miles (40% highway, 60% city) so far on this tank, and i have a little under half a tank still. Shes gettin aesome mpgs right now, and the power difference is incredible.

i'll bet. does your truck throw codes with egr pipe gone and the valve still there?
