If the motor runs to cool it could throw a CEL, and IMO thats on the cusp. Sadly there isn't a way to check your T stat outside the truck but if your collant temp is a steady 175 ish thats not where a 185 stat should keep your coolant.
A 185 stat, especially a "quality" one should open at least within 5 degrees of 185 degrees. With that temp, your coolant should stay in the 185 to 190 range.

gtup----thats odd about your heat situation. i have the 180 stat and i have no heating problems with it. do you think maybe it could have been sticking in the open position?
i do believe i have a blend door problem though, as the passenger side heat is awesome but the driver side heat is not-so-much, any one have any ideas?
