NO ****??? They have never said a word to me, this is the second 1500 I have owned, and never had weighted tags! Something sounds wrong to me. Do you use your truck for anything commercial? Do you haul any heavy weights? Man I would be asking another tag office to clarify, just call up and describe the vehicle and ask how much for the tag.

I was just told that if you weigh 10K lbs or more at any given time then you need weighted tags! NOT saying that is completely accurate, that is what I was told. My opinion is if you get a 1500 up to 10k lbs you got more problems than a tag!!!

I would be calling and asking!! Don't let them know you have one, you are just curious. If you don't mind me asking how much is that tag a year. Mine being a personalized nascar plate is about 100 a year. My old tag was only 28 or so. But I have NEVER had a weighted tag!
