I think you are right unless you can prove to them that the vehicle is off the road for any reason. We had some cars in that situation when I worked at the body shop... the inspection was due while they were in getting repaired after a wreck.

Thanks. Same here. I think I'll pay a visit to the DMV office on Monday and find out the laws I need to know to get it done.

The stupid thing is, I didn't have a cat on it last year when I got it inspected, but I had it inspected at the shop that did our alignments and stuff at the body shop, but I'm not working there now so I don't know if those guys would be willing to help me out again. Lol, all they did last year was flip on the lights, turn signals, and windshield wipers and threw a sticker on it.

 

I think you will have to turn your tag in and re register it as a custom built later!

 

well it's worth a shot to try, ya you'll have to turn in your tag when it expires.

 

you might be better off rigging up the fake cat and egr, cause the other will probably be a pain, and in the end I think they will have the same requirements if not more stringent for a custom built title. so just play the game the way it is is my opinion.
