naw it came as a kit..from http://cpwstore.carpartswholesale.co...S-V218205.html and im very happy with it ...i tell everyone with a 4.7 to buy it ...its prolly the better of the kits ive seen all one pc intake with welded heatshield and a decent filter...the only draw backs are the rubber mounts that mount them to the fender the rubber breaks eventually and your left making your own all mopar knock off intakes do it, if you look at my pic i have a nut backed to the head of a bolt and that works fine........aem just recently fixed there type of mount....but for the money for this one you CANT go wrong.....

I would love to go that route, maybe for Easter or something I just got $800 worth of rubber on this b!tch, don't think I'll be asking for too much more right now, haha.

Its amazing how much these bigger tires really pulled the power down. And the gas, jeesh, somethings gotta give. I'm really hoping the future tuneup will help, A LOT, cause Im really not likeing the 10.5 Im seeing on the overhead. I'll do it by hand () when I get the chance to fill'er up.

Jusjay will that velocity cai fit the 05 4.7? and also did you remove the assy where it says magnum 4.7 to install it?

05blue- From the looks of it, it'll fit pretty much all 3rd gen 4.7's, at least up to '07. For that price, you cant go wrong, like Jay said. If I understand your question, yes, both the factory "hat" (black box over the throttle body) and the factory airbox are both removed for this setup. These are believed to be the most restrictive parts of the intake system. You could build your own cai, but IMO, after its all said n done, its worth $70 for that unit: one piece design, heatshield provided, and the filter.

Ross, seems like you've already got a lot of mods, very cool. Nice to have both of you.

Finally done reading all these posts and I am sold. Is #168 available? I have an '06 blue quad cab. Flowmaster 50 series with dual stainless steel rolled tips. Just put in stainless guage plate. That dresses the dash up nicely. Got a 2" drop in the back and a K&N air filter. Lots of good info in here. I like it. I am in Texas also.
