The 287 crew...
Oil- going synthetic. I think Advance has the specials going for Penzoil and Mobil1. I've always used Penzoil in everything Ive owned (cept the stang). Either one should be ok, right? Obviously, I wanna/need to go with the cheaper one, but.....
Plugs- Ive been told that the copper Champs are fine for our motors, but this info was coming from the Hemi guys. I also see a lotta NGK's being used. Whats a decent plug for the $$ range Im trying to stay in? I guess anything will be better than the originals that Im sure are still in there, just checking in with you guys.
I'm going up there in a few, so chop chop with some answers!!!
Thanks guys...

Plugs-Check. I wanted to go with the NGK's, but they were sold out ($1 off special). So, in my usual antsy fashion, I just went with the oem champions. The swap was super smooth, for the most part. I started at the one closest to me, on the passenger side, just to see how it all went. Then I went to the farthest one. That was the only PITA. I spent 20min trying to break that b!tch loose, ended up having to put a pipe on it. That plug had all kindsa white **** on it, Ill get a couple pics up in a bit. I did the last 4 plugs in 15min, rushing so I wasn't late picking the wifey up. Easiest plug change Ive done yet.
Oil-Check. They were running the special on Castrol and a Bosch filter, which Ive never heard of. The guy told me they're basically made by Purolator, which is what I usually run, so I went with it. I swear, the truck feels a tad smoother. Of course, you want to tell a difference, but I think I do.
The plugs didn't really even need changing. I now doubt they're the originals, Ill throw up some pics, let yall tell me whatcha think.
Good week for the 4-7. TB cleaned, synthetic oil, and new plugs. Hope I see any kinda mpg increase.

Hey guys just wanted to post the link to my thread on my truck not running right. I still havent gotten to the bottom of the problem and I could use some advice. Hope everyone is doing well. Hows our Logo coming along? Im looking forward to 3 things, getting my truck running, washing it, and slapping that logo on the back window! Bear, I know you already went with the champions, so did I. when you change 'em you do feel a little more pep in the truck. Us 1500's have a lot of weight to carry around and anything to keep these things in tune will help us not to lag.
