still working on the intake swap, been up for 28 hours straight with workin on the truck work pt tests stupid commander meetings and more working on the truck. got it drivable so i'm not getting charged for the stupid bay anymore when i leave it there overnight. the intake won't seal down to the heads i keep getting vacuum leaks along the sides. also i ****ed up the fuel feeder connector so i got to replace that its not leaking but it makes me nervous. guess a Cold air intake is on the way the stock airbox doesn't work with the new manifold. and i have to go buy some plugs for the extremely large vacuum ports on the intake that i don't need.
I will, its been a challenging project. i might not do much till next weekend i need to pull the intake again to see why its not sealing down. i get a leak when at idle but it seals off when i hit about 2,500 rpm.
Yeah, I got the lightbar from Pyro. He ordered it before he decided to get Weed's guard and couldn't cancel the order in time. So, I got it from him for what he paid for it. I don't know where he's been. I need to txt him soon so I can get his new address.
update for my intake swap. I was going to work on the vacuum leak problem tomorrow but the damaged fuel connector gave way today and started leaking fuel all over my hot engine block. The new connector is on its way had to be shipped from a dealer east of here, they say two weeks going to see if i can expedite this process a little. Its actually a replacement fuel line going all the way back to the tank. FYI make sure the connector is out of the way when you are trying to get the manifold off/on mine got damaged during the removal and wouldn't fully seat.
yeah, other than mounting a second battery in the truck, it's high time old 287 Crew member #13 do some mods on his 4.7 HO totin' vehicle.
