I have a simple problem that I can not solve on my daughters 94 shadow 2.2.
She has no turn signals front or back.When she hits the signal the dash indicator lights up but does dot flash.
I have checked the signal fuse ,the bulbs and ground and all are ok.Does her car have a flasher simular to the hazard flasher.When looking in the owners manuel it just says to check bulbs when indicator light comes on but does not flash.
A local auto part dealer said it had a flasher mouted above the fuse panel?But I looked everywhere and can only find the hazard flasher.
Does it have a flasher?
This thing is driving me nuts as it is unsafe to let her drive.I am unable to work now thus can not affgord to take it in for repair.

 

yeah there should be a flasher plugged righ into the fuse block.

 

Casper I thought so also.There is a grey block right behind fuse block with 3 components one is horn relay one something for air bag and one hazard flasher.But I can not find any thing for the signal flasher.I am stumped????

 

I am not sure specificly about the car, but it could be the same relay. Also might be3 under the hood, maybe. Do you have a book for the car, I know that they are like $15 at Autozone, they are not the best, but they help.

 

I will check to see if there is a service manuel at the library.We have a new auto zone here and I have had good luck with advice and prices.They are the ones who sold me the flasher and said it was up higher next to steering column above fuse panel.I went under upside down and just got wedged under the steering wheel several times without finding its location.was not a pretty pict.I had to kick my feet on cieling to free myself.

Hazard Flasher = Turn Signal Flasher

 

GM sucks I thought about that but my other dodges had 2.I did not know it would work for both?
My next option is to see if something is wrong with the turn signal lever components.

I would try the hazard relay 1st, they are only a few $. I do know that shadows had some big electical problems in the 80's, so it could be a number of other things. I would almost bet that the turn signal it self would be close to $100 if you could not find one at the junk yard.

 

The hazard flasher works fine.
