They should make a higher output SRT version lol of the PT that might boost sales.

The PT SRT or something.

Hey it could happen!

I happen to like the PT.

I don't understand why people gripe about it. But then again, I'm into the old 1930's styling.

I found my "loaner/rental" PT Cruiser to be very comfortable, useful and cute in a retro way. The only negative thing was the fact that there are so many of them around and the standard engine is so slow-pokey.

A rumor has it, that this is not a PT Cruiser model, but really the new Jeep Compass in camo mule form using a PT body and other Chrysler parts, while doing chassis development!

Cool pic - I was thinking it was just a crosseyed neon headlighted PT at first - thats a lot of work to camo a vehicle!

To those griping about the lack of power in the PT's...I'm on my second. I had one of the orginals purchased in June '01 and recently traded it in on an '04 GT. Vastly improved. They've left out some of the nicer little touches that the original had - like folding heated mirrors, but the extra umph is more than worth it. This puppy gives my hubby's Mustang GT a real run for it's money (he's depressed now because I can stay with him off the line).
I'm just getting ready to put the PT away for the winter. I drove the '01 year round, but the '04 will be a summer car. Any tips on winter storage? Just bought one of those canvas portable garages since the mustang gets priority parking in our single garage (grrr). Had the oil changed and put water remover in with a full tank of gas...anything else I should do?
Thanks!
