Redesigned 2006 P.T. Cruiser!!
Here is the article from http://www.thecarconnection.com...
These spy photos, taken just recently, capture several prototypes of the Chrysler PT Cruiser and reveal updated styling.
The front styling is new, with a much flatter nose than the previous edition, a more rounded grille, and a flatter front bumper. The headlights have been redesigned to include the signature chrome-ringed twin lights behind a clear plastic cover. The grille sports a small box pattern as shown (at least partially) on the red prototype.
Rear styling is slightly changed with a new rear bumper that is smoother and lacking the recessed and sculptured shapes around the backup lights and license plate. Also note the whimsical touch of a red-painted pocket just under the rear hatch handle on the white car - matching the red side bumpers at the lower edge of the doors.
Another noticeable difference is the flared edges on both front and rear fenders, just around the wheel openings. These prototypes appear to have slightly larger tires than the current PT Cruisers, indicating perhaps that these might be a new four-wheel-drive model, with higher ground clearance, large tires, and the flared fenders extended out a bit to cover the larger tires.

Amanda, if you ever have free time to blow... you should just go drive around the DaimlerChrysler HQ in Auburn Hills! It is like a mini city, and you usually get to see these prototype vehicles. I remember the first time I went to the Walter P. Chrysler Museum on their grounds, I saw four new Pacificas w/ very little camo driving around. You can just drive around and look for different new vehicles, pretty neat. Lots of places to look to, since the Auburn Hills HQ is the largest HQ compound of any car company in the world!

Reason I mention this, is because see the building in the background? That is the rear of the Walter P. Chrysler Museum.
