i just replace the head gasket on a 97 neon sohc and not the rear of the engine is leaking oil i accedently adde about a quart of extra oil would this make it leak out the extra oil it is just running out at a steady rate it looks like it is fron the passenger sie rear of the oil pan or block there is a crack in the timing belt cover but that does not have any oil right? the oilf filter is on tight i never took the oil pan off so it should not be the oil pan gasket any body have any thought on what it might be thanks

 

Without pictures or more information, I would say that you didn't tighten the head bolts down correctlly or did something when you changed the gasket, if it was not doing it before.
